Polish authorities intend to increase the volume of purchases of medium multi-role helicopters

Authorities Poland want to increment the volume of purchases of secondary multi-purpose helicopters Up to 70 units. On this, as reported by Lenta.ru with reference to Jane's, said the Prime Minister Poland Donald Tusk.

The purchase price of such machines is estimated at eight billion zloty (2.5 billion dollars). First military helicopters expect to receive in 2014.

Poland has announced a tender for the supply of 26 multi-purpose helicopters in March 2012. For the purchase of these machines Polish Defense Ministry planned to izderzhat 1.5 — 3.0 billion zlotys (480-960 million dollars). The new machines will change outdated transport helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-17, as sea multipurpose Mi-14.

The decision to increase purchases multi-purpose helicopters Tusk explained to the need to increment the Polish Air Force helicopters.

At the current time, three companies offer their helicopters Poland — South American Sikorsky, AgustaWestland Italian and European consortium Eurocopter. They offer a Polish military helicopters S-70i Black Hawk, AW149 and EC725 respectively.
