U.S. scientists have created a unique robot chameleon

American scientists from Harvard University (USA) have created a unique robot that can blend in with the environment, according to the scientific journal Science.

The so-called robot chameleon can move independently, using a system of cavities within each "leg". Masking robot is due to the silicone inside which, a system of multiple microchannels, which are in turn filled paints.

One of the developers of the robot chameleon, Stephen Morin noted that it was important to show that even the most simple systems can achieve a lot in the art of camouflage.
