Forests in the new Moscow will be specially protected green areas

 Moscow authorities have made provisions under which forest areas are attached to the capital will be especially protected green areas (OOZT), told RIA Novosti source in the city administration.

"The expansion of the city of Moscow in its boundaries included approximately 75,000 hectares, is forested. As a result, it was decided to create a special protection in green areas," — said the source.

According to him, the capital itself can determine which areas will be assigned to this type of areas. In particular, the city will be able to assert their limits and usage. It is assumed that OOZT Protective functions are designed to perform, climate, hygiene and recreational functions.

"The territory of the proposed establishment formed modes of use and safety, appropriate functional zoning of forests acting as protection of natural objects" — said an employee town hall.

At the same time in these areas is prohibited the use of toxic chemicals, hunting, mining, agriculture, location of capital construction. There will also be banned, not related to the conservation and study of OOZT.

At the same time in these areas allowed the research and educational activities, cultivation of planting material of forest plants, operation of reservoirs and other artificial water bodies and hydraulic structures, reconstruction and maintenance of communication lines, power, underground pipelines.

As explained by the agency, are also possible religious activities, works associated with the elimination of emergency situations, as well as measures to maintain these areas in good condition.
