Radioactive coal from Kazakhstan nearly heated the Kyrgyz CHP

Bishkek CHPBishkek, 12 November / Kabar /. General Prosecutor's Office audited on the delivery of coal deposits Kulanskogo Republic of Kazakhstan for Bishkek CHP.

The audit found that in September 2011 the Bishkek CHP OJSC "Power Plants" with Kulanskogo deposit was made delivery of 8.5 thousand tons of coal.

With reference dosimetry measurements of background radiation imported coal found that the level of gamma radiation above the natural background radiation area of 9. The said coal was imported freely without control relevant government authorities.

According to this criminal case under article 239 (illegal handling of radioactive materials) and 304 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code, is currently under investigation.
