Kamchatka closer to a powerful cyclone with snow and squally wind

Powerful snow cyclone approaches the coast of Kamchatka from the Sea of Japan, told RIA Novosti the regional management Emergency Ministry.

According to forecasters, the next few hours would bring down atmospheric vortex at the Peninsula precipitation in the form of wet snow and squally wind.

"On Wednesday night in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, in the south Milkovskiy area in Elizovsky and Ust-Bolsheretsk areas expected strong winds of up to 15 meters per second, a blizzard. On the coast of Ust-Bolsheretsky district wind force reaches 23-28 meters per second (up to 100 kilometers per hour), "- said the source.

Meteorologists believe that atmospheric vortex, whose influence will be felt in the peninsula at least a day, will cause significant warming in regions of Kamchatka — the thermometer rise to 0 degrees Celsius.

According to the forecast, on Wednesday on the west coast of Kamchatka "possible transfusion braid sand sea water." In this period will be limited to vehicles traveling on the dangerous road sections crossing the sandy braids.

"The forces and means EMERCOM of Russia on Kamchatka region ready to respond to potential emergencies," — said the representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

He added that the possibility of emergencies warned heads of municipalities, police, managers of shipping companies and ports.
