In Moscow, unveiled a plaque legendary football goalkeeper Lev Yashin

In Moscow, Saturdays 22 October 2011 was unveiled a plaque pride of football Lev Yashin. It was installed at Chapaevsky Lane, Building 18, where for many years he lived a legendary Soviet goalkeeper.



The opening ceremony was attended by the widow of Valentine Yashin Timofeevna, presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Koloboks Paul, Chairman of the Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin, the veterans of the USSR and the Moscow "Dynamo". Today Lev Ivanovich Yashin would have turned 82.

The plaque poured out of bronze. Yashin is depicted on it on the belt — in top form, and with the ball in his hands. With the idea to cast the board in the Department of Culture in July of this year, approached the staff of FC "Dynamo" in which he played goalkeeper of the USSR from 1949 and until the end of his football career in 1971

By the way, this commemorative sign Lev Yashin in Moscow will be the third in a row. In the late 90's. in the capital of the monument installed two great players: in the sports complex "Luzhniki", and at the central stadium "Dynamo".

Lev Yashin — Olympic champion in 1956 and European champion in 1960, a five-time champion of the USSR and honored master of sports. It was the first Soviet player who was awarded the "Golden Ball".
