WWF: poachers killed more rhinos in South Africa

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) said that high demand for rhino horn has led to record levels of poaching in South Africa.

According to the South African national parks, more than 340 rhinos were killed in 2011.

Last year, 333 animals were sacrificed.

WWF believes that the increase in the number of rhinos killed associated with the increasing demand for animal horn in Vietnamese traditional medicine.

Rhino poachers stun darts, and then cut off the horns saw, leaving the animal to bleed to death.
