The second day of the earthquakemagnitude 6.2 — occurred at 5:13 am MSK in the south Pacific island nation of Vanuatu. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, its epicenter was about 100 km west of g.Isangel o.Tanna on the southern archipelago of the New Hebrides. The earthquake was located at a depth of 8.5 km.

Information about the destruction and casualties were reported, according to the website "RBC".

Recall that the first quake — magnitude 7.6 — happened the day before at 16:16 MSK. Experts of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii issued a warning of a possible tsunami early in Vanuatu, Fiji and New Caledonia. Warning was later lifted.
