August 10 in Berlin (Germany) was the first day of the second stage of the World Cup on swimming the 25-meter pool. Ukraine at the event are four athletes — Daria Zebina, Sergey Frolov, Andrew speaks and Victoria Solntseva.
Darin Zebina won gold with a new European record, finishing first in the 200 m backstroke with a score of 2:00.81.  Ukrainian bypassed by 1.08 second, and Australia's Belinda Hocking 2.16 — her compatriot, two-time Olympic champion Emily Seebohm.
Sergei Frolov finished fifth in the 400m freestyle with a score of 3.43,11, losing to the winner — American Tyler Clary 6.25 seconds.
Andrew spoke also was fifth in the 50m butterfly (22.89). Defeated South African Roland Schumann (22,05).
On the first day of competition was set a world record. Its author was the Spaniard Mireya Garcia Belmonte in the 800 m freestyle — 7.59,34.
