6.5-magnitude earthquake on Saturday shook Miyagi prefecture in northeast Japan. This was reported by the Japanese Meteorological Service.
Tremors occurred at 13:34 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 123 kilometers off the coast of Sendai and Miyagi and lies at a depth 35.7 km, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
