Paroc Group decided to invest in a manufacturing plant in the Tver region, a region located in the north-west of Moscow. According to the Director General Paroc Group Kari Lehtinen, mineral wool market in Russia in the near future is expected to grow much faster than in Western Europe. "Over the next few years, demand for mineral wool in Russia will increase by about 10% per year. Such growth in Russia is expected to increase as a result of legal requirements in the area of energy efficiency and fire safety of buildings. Paroc plans to invest in Tver 170 million euros, which will be used for the construction of three production lines for thermal insulation for buildings and equipment for the production of technical insulation materials. Annual production capacity will be 150,000 tons, and the plant will provide jobs 600 employees.
In the first phase of investment will be built one production line for insulation. Production will begin in 2013.
