ATHENS, Nov. 7 — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanov. Earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred on Monday night on the Greek island of Crete, the website of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
According to U.S. experts, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 70 kilometers north of the capital of the island — the city of Heraklion.
One of the residents of Crete, told RIA Novosti by telephone that the quake was long and managed to attract the attention of local residents.
The destruction and no injuries reported.
