An earthquake with magnitude 7.4 occurred near the Aleutian Islands

Earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred in the Pacific Ocean 163 miles east of the island of Atka, are part of the Aleutian Islands archipelago, off the coast of the U.S. state of Alaska, said on Friday the U.S. Geological Survey website.
Tremors were recorded at 03.09 UTC (07.09 MSK).
According to seismologists, the earthquake lies at a depth of 46.8 kilometers.
Possible casualties were reported.
Atka Island is part of the members of the Aleutian archipelago Andreanof Islands.
