«Bella» and «Lockheed Martin» combine efforts to develop the V-280

Bell Company and Lockheed Martin merged to develop promising tiltrotor V-280 Valor («Valor»), pictured at the U.S. Army programmke FVL (Future Vertical Lift), reports now flightglobal.com. Additional partners will be announced at a later group.

Their cooperative project was chosen along with group projects Boeing-Sikorsky and AVX Aircraft technology demonstrator for programmke JMR (Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator). As expected, the contracts for the development of prototypes of the future tiltrotor will be issued this month.
