Kyshtymskiy Karabashsky and plants have reached a historic high production volumes

"Karabashmed" and ZAO "KMEZ" in the number of enterprises Russian Copper Company, show the best results for the whole period of its activity. These are the preliminary results of work in 2011.
Karabashsky metallurgists in the last year produced more than 80 thousand tons of blister copper. Compared with 2010, this figure rose to 21%. Also increased production of by-products: produced 2.6 tons of gold and 70 tons of silver. The growth was 6 and 26%, respectively.

This evolution was due to production scale transformations taking place in the enterprise. In accordance with the development program implemented by Russian Copper Company, from 2011 to 2016, plans to build and continue modernization of industry, energy and chemistry. For 2014 is scheduled commissioning of the second acid plant at "Karabashmed." This will ensure full utilization of sulfur dioxide in the planned increase in production in the half.
Russian Copper Company has invested in the modernization of "Karabashmed" about 7.8 billion rubles. In 2012, the development of enterprises plan to invest another 3.8 billion rubles. A total volume of investments during the period from 2004 to 2016 will exceed 15 billion rubles.
Record levels over the past year has made yet another venture RMK, operating in the southern Urals — "Kyshtymskiy Electrolytic Copper Plant". During the 12 months of 2011, here produced 99 thousand tons of copper rod (in comparison with 2010, the increase was 57 per cent), 115.6 thousand tons of copper cathodes, more than 100 tons of silver, and 3.7 tons of gold. For this product also seen significant growth in production volumes.
Over the past year in the development and modernization of CJSC "KMEZ" has invested over 144 million rubles. In the coming year, the amount of investment is expected to increase to 170 million rubles.
The total investment to Russian Copper Company in 2012 plans to invest in the development of their enterprises operating in the Chelyabinsk region, is about 19 billion rubles.
