Two nine-girl twins died within a few minutes after measles vaccination at a private clinic in Ghaziabad, India.
Their uncle, Achilles Sharma, who took them to the vaccine, says, "I took them to be vaccinated against measles in Wednesday around 6:00 pm." "Vaccination is done to them about 19:15 pm. After 15 minutes, the children began to breathe heavily. "
When the first girl has already started to show signs that something was wrong — the heavy breathing and vomiting, her sister had not been vaccinated. Sharma asked the doctor to get vaccinated until the second girl, but the doctor insisted on continuing. Then the same symptoms began to show and the other girl, and they both passed out.
"Even when the health of one of my daughters has worsened, the doctor told us that we have nothing to worry as it is a normal reaction to the vaccine," says the father of girls Sunil Sharma. "The deterioration of the child did not stop doctors from having to be vaccinated a second."
The doctor gave girls in another hospital and disappeared. There, the children's condition became critical, and parents took them to a third hospital.
"We took the children to the hospital Ganesh, in Nehru Nagar where doctors again stated their death," said Sunil. "Then we informed the police, handed over the body, and wrote a statement in the Kavi Nagar police station."
"I gave the order to seal the hospital and take samples of vaccines," said Raghubir Lal. "In order to investigate the incident, we connected medical professionals."
The cause of death has not yet been established.
We have sent the dead tissue samples for forensic examination. Also, the case involved government group, "said chief medical officer AK Dhawan.
