Heavy rain, which hit Riga Monday afternoon, flooding the downtown streets of the Latvian capital, and paralyzed public transport, told RIA Novosti on the Riga City Council.
Public transport in the city center is difficult, in a traffic jam. Car stuck in puddles, and pedestrians have to walk around the flooded streets.
According to the Department of Riga City Council, places carriageway road was completely flooded.

Traffic on some streets were also hindered by the wind felled trees.
