Kubilius will reach by bicycle to Ostrovetskaya site

Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, who is resting in Belarus, will travel by bike in places close to the border with Lithuania, where the official Minsk plans to build a nuclear power plant.

"We may be able to see for themselves the plans," — said Kubilius in an interview with Ziniu radijas.

He noted that the negative view of Lithuania plans to build a nuclear power plant in Belarus Ostrovetskaya site.

"I have repeatedly said that, and the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky, and President Alexander Lukashenko. Belarus, with one side, declares the development of the project and develop it, and on the other hand — invites us to join. I would venture to guess at what stage is the project — to see whether it is being implemented, "- said Kubilius.

He said he had heard of the proposal to make the project Belarusians Belarusian-Lithuanian, and perhaps the Belarusian-European.

Kubilius hopes that Lithuania and Belarus, expanding talks on important joint projects, will move to the question of whether Belarusians profitable to build nuclear power plants, where they are planning.

Ostrovetskaya site is located in 55 kilometers from Vilnius and 20 kilometers from the border with Lithuania.
