Colombia: geological fault 2 km long

July 1, 2011. Geological fissure length of two kilometers was found in the municipality of Toledo. After heavy rains at the weekend and on Tuesday the head of administration of Toledo began evacuating the population, fearing a major disaster.

Five communities in the municipality of Toledo suffered from the rains that caused landslides on the road. The walls of some houses collapsed, cracks on the roads and pedestrian sidewalks.

A total of 56 families from the villages of La Camacho, Hato Grande, Jordan, Campo Alegre and Santa Ana were evacuated and 28 people were injured, 13 homes damaged, reports laopinion.com.co
