The department clarified that Dengue fever in tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America, Africa, South and South-East Asia, in Australia, in the south of Europe.

"The disease is on the list of communicable diseases that require sanitary measures to protect the territory of Russia", — stressed in a press release.

The department added that it is currently the only method of preventing the disease are non-specific prevention measures to prevent sucking mosquitoes: the use of mosquito nets, zasechivanie windows and doorways, the use of repellents, fumigators and other means to scare mosquitoes.
