Earthquake in Indonesia

Earthquake measuring 5.9 points occurred in the west of the island of Java in the Sunda Bay, Indonesia. The U.S. Geological Survey said that it was recorded at a depth of 49 km. According to initial data, reported that it was an earthquake at a depth of 5.8 points 44 km, but later data have been revised, as was pointed out a more precise location. Initially said the source, located at 178 km. from west of Sukabumi in Java, the data specified later, and found a place in the 157 km. south T.Telukbetung in Sumatra.
Information about the devastation or a tsunami has been reported. The earthquake occurred 177 km. south-west of the capital of Indonesia — Jakarta, in the north-west of the island of Java.

An interesting fact is that the remnants of the island of Anak Krakatau, located in the Gulf, and the earthquake in the south-west of the volcano Krakatoa, which is valid.
