Japanese earthquake — the strongest in the history of the country

What happened in the north-east Japan earthquake was the most
strongest in the history of the country, the main meteorological
control of the country. Its magnitude was estimated as 8.8. The number of victims
earthquake in Japan reached 20 people and continues to grow, the exact
the number of wounded and injured is not yet known.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake was
8.9. Its epicenter was located 373 kilometers northeast of Tokyo,
focus lies at a depth of 24 kilometers. A series of strong aftershocks in the
northeastern Japan and the ensuing tsunami caused damage
the Pacific coast of the country.
