In Italy, the state of emergency Facts
The Italian Government has decided to impose a 60-day state of emergency in the northern part of the country affected by the earthquake. At present about 5,000 people are in temporary shelters and camps, experiencing strong emotional shock of the incident.
The province of Bologna, Modena and Ferrara will be allocated 50 million euros for the reconstruction of homes and businesses that were destroyed during the earthquake. Owners of the affected industrial sites allowed temporarily to pay property taxes because their losses are more than one hundred million. Total of 200 companies and 2,000 or more employees in a difficult position because of the earthquake.
Fortunately, after a decrease of seismic activity at the epicenter in Finale Emilia further destruction of partially damaged buildings did not happen. Many of them will soon be returned to the status date for operation. Can not be said about the ancient buildings, the monuments of culture of northern Italy, with their unique architecture and frescoes, which can not be recovered. Many of them were part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Thousands of people had to spend the night in tents, cars and school gyms.

- Church of historical value (San Carlo, with frescoes of the 17th century)
- Clock tower of the 14th century in Finale Emilia
- Schools, businesses, government buildings
- Damage to agriculture is estimated at EUR 200 million
