Astronomers now watching the approach to the Earth of the two comets that promise quite a rare sight.
While the comet C/2001 Q4 (NEAT) and C/2002 T7 (LINEAR) are only visible through a telescope. But at the end of April, the comet C/2001 Q4 on its brightness can achieve 1st or 2nd magnitude and the night sky, it will be readily visible until mid-May. Comet C/2002 T7 may become visible to the naked eye before — in the middle of March. However, at this time it will be visible only in the southern hemisphere, besides it will be able to distinguish between a cloudless night sky, only experienced observers, but in the future it will become brighter and more visible. In the Northern Hemisphere, it will be visible in early May. So there is a possibility that at the beginning of May, we will be able to see the sky at the same time two comets.
However, comets behave quite unpredictable and do not always live up to expectations. In addition, according to astronomers, these two comets are going to fly for the first time in the inner solar system. So that their behavior can be predicted only very approximately. But hope can be a spectacular sight.
