Russia in January-June increased gold production by 11%

Ore extraction and production of gold concentrates in Russia in January-June 2013 increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2012, according to data of Rosstat.

Production of gold bars increased by 15.7%.

At the same time, decreased by 0.4% and production of palladium-based alloys.

Manufacture of platinum and alloys increased by 9%.

Mining and production of silver concentrates in the reporting period increased by 2.7%.

The extraction of natural rough diamonds increased by 2.7%.

In June 2013 mining and production of gold concentrates increased by 14.7% compared with June 2012, production of silver concentrates — by 4.5%, the extraction of natural rough diamonds — by 10.6%.

Production of platinum and alloys in June increased by 13.5%, while palladium and alloys — by 15.7%.
