At the South Pole in the icy mountain found fragments of dinosaur skeletons, dating back about 200 million years. Fossils supposedly belong early ancestor Brontosaurus representative of fossil animals, widely known thanks to his long neck and massive body.
Already recovered about 900 kg of fossils from the mountain, which is located at a distance of 640 km from the South Pole. Due to the unique weather conditions, Antarctica is a very promising place for paleontological research.
Scientists believe that the ice of the southern mainland stores a same dinosaur as all the other continents together (before the continents split, Antarctica was a whole of Africa, South America, Australia and India).
