The satellite monitoring system emergencies Russian Emergencies Ministry has started to work with the data of the satellite "Canopus B" in direct reception mode

The system is versatile small station "UniScan" development and production of ETC "RDC". Stations are located in Moscow, Vologda, Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok and allow to obtain satellite images from different satellites to high-frequency monitoring, forecasting and disaster management.

The operational management of the departmental system of space monitoring of emergencies (SCM ES) provides PKU National Center for Crisis Management (National Emergency Management Center).

The satellite monitoring system allows emergency in direct reception mode to receive satellite images of varying resolution of seven satellites equipped with radar and optical Earth imaging equipment with a spatial resolution of 0.7 m to 250 m Now SCM ES also able to work with the data of the Russian satellite "Canopus In "direct mode of reception. 

At present system of space monitoring of emergencies working with satellite data "Canopus B" in the test mode. Full-featured commissioning scheduled according to the program of the SCM emergencies.

Spacecraft "Canopus-V", launched in July 2012, working in a circular sun-synchronous orbit of 510 ± 10 km and an inclination of 97.4 degrees. Mass of the satellite is 473 kg, payload weight — 106 kg. The complex includes a target equipment panchromatic (MSS) and multispectral (MSS) imaging systems.
