Undoubtedly, any "best" list is subjective. Choose the best photos is not their simple, as most unimaginable incredible number of photos can slip past. But if we approach the question from the point of selection of key events and news, the process becomes much easier. For example, in the first half of current news headlines were the Japanese earthquake and the ensuing tsunami, and the Arab Spring events.
