In the port of Olya (Astrakhan region) started a grain terminal

In the port of Olya (Astrakhan region) on December 10 in a test mode started working grain terminal with capacity of 500 thousand tons per year.

Each month to its mooring berths will be from 15 to 20 vessels. Every day in your towers terminal can unload 50 cars — a train.

Olya port is located 100 km south of Astrakhan at 67 km Volga-Caspian Canal near the village of Olga. The main activity of the port — handling of general, container and Ro-Ro ferry cargo. Olya port open to international navigation. Through it all year round foreign trade regime of handled cargo in the Caspian in Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, the Indian ways. In the port of Olya are border crossing points and customs posts. Throughput of the port in 2010 amounted to about 1 million tons.
