State Corporation "Rosatom" plans in 2014 to launch in Seversk (Tomsk region) oxide production in 2015 — Refining and modernized sublimate production, according to news agency "Interfax-Siberia" in reference to the corporate newspaper of "Siberian Chemical Combine."
Oxide production is the first stage, and the refining and sublimation — the second stage of the construction project conversion plant (one of the stages of uranium enrichment).
Finally selected a site on which will be located greenfield refinery-oxide production. It is north-east of the radiochemical plant (RCP, including the Siberian Chemical Plant) is currently free on developments since the factory has the necessary infrastructure that will significantly reduce the cost and accelerate the building.
The plant will be two modern production buildings constructed with the energy-saving technologies. Prepared all the documents needed for the development of the project. It is assumed that the design will be launched in May. The development of design documentation provided $ 420 million.
The development of the approved project should be completed in December this year, in March (2013 — IF) design must pass the state examination, and by that time to be completed development of all documentation. Now also conducted research work aimed at reducing the volume of radioactive waste at the new facility.
It was reported earlier that the power of the Uranium Conversion Facility will be transferred to JSC "Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant" JSC and "Machine-Building Plant" (Moscow region), and concentrated at the Siberian Chemical Combine. This will increase the volume of orders for the enrichment of uranium to 20%. On the production on the conversion of uranium was supposed to direct 7.5 billion rubles.
JSC "Siberian Chemical Complex" combines five plants handling nuclear materials and CHP is one of the four Russian uranium enrichment plants, which are included in Fuel Company "fuel elements" of the state corporation "Rosatom".
