Incomes of Ukrainians in the first quarter of 2013 amounted to 317.251 billion USD — a 7% increase

Incomes of Ukrainians in the first quarter of 2013 amounted to UAH 317.251 billion — 7% more than in the same period of the previous year, the State Statistics Committee.

The volume of wages in the period amounted to UAH 135.753 billion (+4.4%), and the proceeds from the property — UAH 15.465 billion (+3.6%). Proceeds under profit and mixed income decreased by 1.8% to 31.829 billion USD.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the citizens of Ukraine have become significantly more savings: the amount of savings compared to the first quarter of 2012 amounted to UAH 239.703 billion (+15.3%). Increase in cash deposits and savings in securities amounted to 44.4% — to UAH 23.454 billion. However, the accumulation of non-financial assets and savings in foreign currency remained unchanged at 329 million USD and 1.111 billion, respectively.

Compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, in January and March 2013 the nominal income of the population increased by 7.0%. Available income, which could be used by the population for the purchase of goods and services increased by 7.1% and the real existing defined taking into account the price factor — by 7.6%, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Disposable income per person in the I quarter of 2013 amounted to UAH 5,264.4, which is 7.3% more than in the corresponding period last year.

The amount of money spent on the purchase of Ukrainian goods and services in the first quarter of 2013th increased by 6.3% — to UAH 271.604 billion. Also increased the amount of taxes paid, including income tax — 7.1% (16.143 billion USD), social insurance contributions — by 8.7% (3.739 billion USD), other current transfers — 25.3% (3.116 billion USD ).

Expenses of the population in the I quarter of 2013 compared to the same period last year increased by 6.6%.
