Launched the first phase of the gas pipeline Sizran-Ulyanovsk


In the village of Cretaceous of the Ulyanovsk region was held on February 29 at the inauguration of the first phase of the second start-up complex pipeline "Sizran-Ulyanovsk."

In the project has already invested 4.5 billion rubles. This year’s funding will be another 1.2 billion rubles. The total length of the pipeline will be 152 km, capacity — 5.4 billion cubic meters of gas per year. According to the "Gazprom Transgaz Samara", the commissioning of the pipeline after the completion of the first-, second-and third-launch complexes planned by the end of 2012.

First of all "blue fuel" will be provided socially important facilities, large industrial enterprises as well as small and medium-sized businesses. The first customers for the supply of gas certificates were awarded as part of the ceremony.

"We all understand the importance of this project. Its implementation is, first, will ensure the reliability of the existing transmission system of the Ulyanovsk region, and second, double the volume of gas supplies. As a result, the demand for natural gas for existing businesses and private consumers in the region will be provided in full until at least 2015. Furthermore, upon completion of construction of a gas lateral we even have some reserves to enable the network to new customers, including within the framework of investment projects ", — said Sergey Morozov.
