Ministry of Natural Resources unveiled data on oil reserves (28.8 billion tons) and gas (69 trillion cubic meters.)

Oil reserves in Russia on January 1, 2013 were 17.8 billion tons, gas reserves48.8 trillion cubic meters ABC1. C2 category oil reserves estimated at 10.9 billion tons, gas reserves — at 19.6 trillion cubic meters, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sergey Donskoy.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on July 5, the lifting of secrecy of information on oil and gas in Russia. Ministry of Natural Resources in early May, posted on its website a draft of this resolution.

Under federal law "On State Secrets" to the list of information constituting a state secret, includes information on mineral reserves, as well as the extraction, production and consumption of strategic minerals. Now, information on oil and gas are not a state secret.
