Power Machines signed a contract to supply turbines for oil shale plant in Estonia

OAO "Kaluga Turbine Plant" OJSC ("GTC"), part of the company "Power Machines", entered into a contract to supply steam turbines for oil shale plant in Kohtla-Jarve (Estonia).

The contract to supply signed with ZAO "Ekoban" (Lithuania), by its terms, JSC "KTZ" will supply a steam turbine K-27-2, 9, 27 MW in the Estonian town of Kohtla-Jarve. The company also will develop documentation for intraturbine pipelines and perform work on the installation supervision and commissioning supervision of a steam turbine. Delivery date — September 2014.

Kaluga Turbine Works already has experience of cooperation with JSC "Ekoban." Earlier, the contract with this firm for upgrading shale plant in Kohtla-Jarve factory manufactured and supplied turbine type PT-27/29-2, 9/0, 6, equipment has been in operation since 2011.

The new steam turbine will be equipped with advanced microprocessor control system and automated-electric actuators in accordance with EU requirements.
