Station station Tomsk-I (Mezheninovka) was built in 1896 in the form of a wooden building. In 1930 Station "Tomsk-1 ‘has been rebuilt. Following the reconstruction carried out in 1970

Reconstruction of the station Tomsk-I started in September 2001 and ended in December 2003 Station Reconstruction Project Tomsk-1 was developed by the institute "Sibzheldorproekt." The total area is 1752 sq.m. Station and is designed for simultaneous reception of 700 people.

At the first stage of reconstruction of the replacement and repair of roof structures, roof replaced. The building is extended in the direction of the city, the facade is made in the same style with the other facades of the building. Indoors carried redevelopment in order to streamline processes and passenger flows. Replaced utilities and carpentry. Interior decoration includes a high-quality plaster walls, painting oil, adhesive and polymer compositions of walls and ceilings, plasterboard lining with subsequent painting. The walls of the waiting rooms, cash rooms, lobbies with marble and granite, different types of decorative coatings.

The second phase — the reconstruction of the hall with suburban commuter ticket offices, toilet facilities, passenger lounges.
