SOUTH helicopter pilots learn to perform combat missions in the highlands

Today, with the pilots airbase Army Aviation Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Southern Military District (SOUTH), stationed in the Krasnodar region, began conducting routine fees for flight operations for combat use with working crews in action during take-offs and landings at high-altitude sites.

On one of the mountain ranges SOUTH within 3 days of the pilots will be conducted classes on the use of military aircraft in the mountains. Then the flight tactical exercises will be held, during which they will have to work out issues of a complex piloting in mountainous terrain with the performance of firings of the Mi-24, Mi-35 and Mi-28 Target at a distance of more than 3 thousand meters

During the exercises helicopter will also develop skills to perform complex approaches to the high ground in low visibility conditions and subsequent landing tactical air landings at an altitude of up to 3.5 thousand meters above sea level.

During the duration of the charge of theoretical and practical training to the drivers will be at least 10 hours a day. The focus of their holding will be paid to training of pilots confident Orienteering instruments and techniques of effective and accurate shooting from the standard weapons helicopters in mountainous terrain.
