The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian submarine armed robot

Rescue forces the Black Sea Fleet of Russia adopted a new remote-controlled autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle "Review-600", created by the Russian company "Tethys-defense." This was stated by a representative of the Navy rescue Igor Frolov. The underwater robot will be used by the military for reconnaissance seabed. The decision to adopt "Review-600" on the arms were made as a result of tests carried out in 2010.


Earlier, the Russian Navy used AUV British manufacturing.

It is an apparatus Tiger and Pantera + production company Seaeye Marine. According to Frolov, they perform well on the teachings of the rescue forces and means of the fleet.

"Review-600" refers to a class of small AUV and is capable of operating at depths of up to 600 meters. Device weight is 15 kilograms. "Review-600" is equipped with manipulators that allow you to capture cargo weighing up to 20 kilograms. Due to its small size, the AUV can penetrate the complex or narrow construction of the water.

According to the description posted on the website "Tethys-PRO", "Review-600" is capable of speeds up to 3.5 knots. The device is equipped with sonar that can detect underwater objects at a distance of up to one hundred meters. AUV is also able to transfer to the operator color or black and white video.
