The domestic industry is focused on innovation

The modernization of the domestic industry — a key theme in Yekaterinburg opened the third International exhibition of industrial innovations and achievements "Innoprom 2012." The event was attended by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who in the course of his visit, announced the government’s intention to develop and technological re-equipment of Russian industrial production.

The prime minister said the government is ready to support and actively encourage the modernization of industrial enterprises, which is formulated by the Government to improve the competitiveness of the program. The priority directions of the Prime Minister outlined the use of the new generation, the introduction of digital design, deploy a new type of industrial infrastructure, ie "Smart" networks and roads.

One of the most ambitious projects in the short term and the point of innovative growth of the Russian economy will be the creation in the Sverdlovsk region’s unique "Titanium Valley" — a special economic zone of industrial type. The prime minister said the project "is available only on public-private partnership." Investors — private business and the state — hope to attract to it the world’s largest companies and create thousands of high-tech jobs in the most sought after industries.

 "The transition of the Russian economy on the export of raw materials to an innovative type of development is not possible without a complex technological re-equipment industry. Only innovation will ensure the production of technically revolutionary products that will be successful both in the domestic and foreign markets — says the press service of the NGO RIC-Systems.

3rd International Exhibition "Innoprom 2012" under the slogan "Technology for people: plan for the future, building the future" held in Yekaterinburg from 12 to 15 July. Participation in the event is more than 1.5 thousand representatives of industry, enforcement authorities, international and Russian experts.
