The Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration under the leadership of President Alexander Vilkul a system of social adaptation, training and employment of people with disabilities. In particular, the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine (NMetAU) operates only Ukrainian regional center of education disabilities. On the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons governor of Dnipropetrovsk Alexander Vilkul presented to the Regional Centre for the introduction of modern mediaustanovku latest educational methods of teaching students with special needs.
"Dnipropetrovsk region — one of the leading regions of Ukraine, which comprehensively modernized education system. In the area is being promoted world’s best practices, the latest training techniques, attracted leading experts and scientists. Considerable attention in the education sector in the region is given to people with special needs. As part of our Social Initiatives of President Viktor Yanukovych in the Dnipropetrovsk region a system of social adaptation, training and employment of young people with special needs, "- said Alexander Vilkul.
The governor noted that the Regional Education Center Disabled National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, which is open in the Dnipropetrovsk region, is a unique platform for the social adaptation of young people with special needs and to prepare for its number of qualified industrial specialties.
Education is carried out taking into account the physical characteristics of students with a wide participation of a special technique. In the center there are the best teachers of the academy, using an individual approach to each student.
"The introduction of new technologies in the learning process is an important component of high-quality education and training of future specialists. Through the use of these technologies in the region, young people with special needs receive a higher education. Today, the Regional Centre has received a modern education for the disabled mediaproektor for the introduction of new educational methods of teaching these students, "- said Alexander Vilkul.
This setting will allow the learning process to accompany the video and audiodemonstratsieyu, which is especially important for the assimilation of the material students with special needs. It will also allow young people with sensory disabilities to train hearing and vision.
Auditorium or lecture room of the Regional Education Center located on the fourth and fifth floors of the new complex, which is also a modern library of the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine. This complex was built in 2011 with the support of Alexander Vilkul.
In the 2011 — 2012 academic year, the formation of the Regional Center received 27 disabled students.
"Providing quality education to students who need special support from the government — this is only the first step in providing them a decent life. The next step is their job, "- said Alexander Vilkul.
As part of the Governor’s innovative project "New Dnipropetrovsk — a new standard of education" in a chain of "school-university-the first job." Particular attention in this regard is paid to training and employment of people with special needs.
As part of the social initiatives of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych employers who create new jobs for the disabled, receive a subsidy for the employment of people with disabilities by the Fund of obligatory state social insurance of Ukraine against unemployment. The subsidy may be provided to the employer, provided employment for more than two years unemployed, who were registered with the State Employment Service. The benefits in getting grants to employers, in excess of the quota legislation employ pregnant women, young people on the first job, the disabled and other unemployed people who are not able to compete in the labor market.
The Dnipropetrovsk within seven months of 2012, the regional employment service to vocational training were involved 102 people with disabilities. In the paid community work involved 65 people. By Area employment centers employed 412 people, of which the subsidized places — 46 people have started their own business — 15.
As previously reported, the Dnipropetrovsk region creates jobs that graduates of this category had the opportunity to fully realize themselves professionally. Today the region are employed in enterprises and employs more than 30,000 people with disabilities. This is the highest rate in the country.
