Ukrplastik in the I half of 2013 increased sales by 15%

PJSC "Ukrplastik" (Kiev), Ukraine’s largest producer of flexible plastic packaging in the first half of 2013 increased sales to 599 million USD, which is 15% higher compared with the corresponding period in 2012.

"More than 50% of the revenue of export products to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and other CIS countries," — said the agency "Interfax-Ukraine", the press service of the company.

The company clarified that this year it expanded its market for the supply of products and established in the Czech Republic, France and Romania, and total exports in January-June of the year exceeded 339 million USD.

According to the head of government "UKRPLASTIC" Irina Miroschnik, the growth performance was driven by a deep understanding of the needs of the market, the development of innovative, environmentally friendly production of flexible polymers and reasonable prices for customers with the required quality.

According to her, in particular, in the first half of the company held regular inspection of auditors of international certification body "TUV NORD Ukraine", which confirmed compliance with the international standards ISO 14001:2004 (environment), ISO 22000:2005 (product safety) and ISO 9001: 2008 (quality).

According to the "UKRPLASTIC" the pace of growth of financial indicators allow it to provide jobs for about 1.5 million people. In this case, the average income per full-time employee for the first half of this year increased by 15% — to UAH 8,113 thousand, which is 2.3 times the average income level of the industry and 1.7 times — the average level of income in Kiev.

Besides being compared with last year, the company increased payments to the budgets of all levels by 4.2% — to more than 125 million USD.

"Ukrplastik" — the largest in Eastern Europe, a manufacturer of flexible packaging materials for the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and other industries. The company in 2012 net income increased by 14.4% — up to 1 billion 281.7 million UAH, its net profit declined by 32.1% — to UAH 81,720,000.
