Awards received were 57 professionals in their field of almost all sectors of the regional economy: industry, transport, agriculture, construction, housing and utilities, healthcare, education, culture, social services, physical education and sports.

"We have decided to revive the tradition and on the eve of May Day to honor the working man again. Youth should follow the example of those people," — said in a congratulatory speech Nikolai Merkushin.

The head of the region emphasized that the power of both the regional and federal level has a policy of raising the prestige of working professions. So, tomorrow President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin for the first time after a long break, will award the best professionals to the country’s medal "Hero of Labour". In the Samara region, it was decided to establish a badge of honor "Labour Glory".

"The state will provide support and training of professional personnel. We will improve the system of vocational training, buy new equipment for schools and colleges. Younger generation should be able to work on the most modern equipment. But it should be understood that the masters of their craft without any, even the ultra-modern, the computer will not be able to do the work that your hands can perform a professional, "- said Nikolai Merkushin.

The Governor noted that the increasing competition to achieve economic success is impossible without a responsible approach to work is all residents. "No matter who you are by profession — a financier or a locksmith. All of us are in the same boat and without the hard work of everyone of us can not create comfortable living conditions in the region and the country as a whole. May holidays always have consolidated the inhabitants of our country, and this tradition should be revived, "- said Nikolai Merkushin.

After words of thanks and congratulations on the upcoming holiday regional head handed diplomas to the best professionals province: bus drivers, fitters and turners, welders and teachers, social workers and nurses, members of many other professions, without which it is impossible to imagine modern life.

For example, the head of the Tatar folk ensemble "Ak Kaen" Kamishlinski district, the winner in the nomination "The best manager of amateur creative collective" Nail Galimullin thanked Nicholas Merkoushkin for the attention of the local authorities to the workers of culture.
