Russian woman Yelena Isinbayeva won the women’s competition in the pole vault at the World Championships in Athletics in Moscow and won a third career gold medal at the world championships in the summer. Second place went to American Jennifer Schuur, and closed the top three winners Cuban Yarisley Silva. Russians Anastasia Savchenko and Angelina Beetle Krasnov showed results fifth and seventh respectively.
