TsAGI specialists upgraded aerobatic Stand MS-21

The experts of the dynamics and control systems aircraft TSAGI completed the modernization of engineering piloting the stand of the main plane (SSMS).

As a result of work performed on the stand were installed prototypes of staff of the controls, which were then connected to its computer system.

These prototypes are designed for ergonomic layout and testing of control algorithms. They include engine control levers, flaps, spoilers, trim panel, as well as the active side knobs and pedals for two pilots. Handles and pedals are equipped with an adjustable electro-mechanical system boot.

Installed on the prototype will be further refined loading characteristics of control of the aircraft with flight crews. These studies will make flying a real aircraft accurate, safe and comfortable for the crew.

In the future modernization of SSMS will continue. TsAGI specialists plan to change the interior of the cabin. Will be refined form of secondary and side panels are installed prototypes regular seats and changed the position of the pedals.

Engineering simulator to support the research and design work on the program of new short and medium aircraft, in particular MS-21 was created in 2011 g.Osnovnye possibility of engineering simulator SSMS:

  • testing of algorithms for the primary and secondary circuits of the remote control (CDS);
  • adjusting the structure and parameters of the CDS;
  • optimization of information-control field of the cockpit (IFIs, levers, HUD, etc.)
  • piloting the development of a technique for performing basic standard phases of flight (taxiing, takeoff, climb, cruise flight, descent, approach, landing, taxiing after run);
  • Flight testing of special occasions and techniques of piloting a special emergency situations caused by external influences or failures in the control system and power plant;
  • support flight testing and certification procedures.

Cockpit layout is made in compliance with the geometric and functional similarity to the current state of the project MS-21.
