The Ministry of Energy and Water in Afghanistan interested in the speedy commissioning of power plant "Naglu" because of the ever-growing power shortage in the country and the need to import electricity. After the reconstruction of the total generating capacity of hydropower "Naglu" will be 100 MW (4×25 MW).

In Afghanistan Tekhnopromexport built thermal power plants in Mazar-e Sharif, GES 'Puli Khumri — 2 "plant" Naglu "and HPP" Darunta "and built a different voltage power lines with a total length of more than 1800 km.
