UAE AND TURKEY WILL RECEIVE transport helicopters CHINOOK
U.S. recently will supply Turkey and the United Arab Emirates of heavy transport helicopter CH-47F Chinook, reports Jane «s referring to the Directorate of Military Cooperation (DSCA) Pentagon. What specific number of helicopters will be delivered to customers, not specified. Total price for the planned delivery technology is about 4 billion dollars.

According to Jane «s, before Turkey is located in the U.S. order to supply 14 Chinook transport helicopters for a total of 1.2 billion dollars. These helicopters are expected to acquire within the U.S. Air Force contract to supply 16 such machines (two helicopters — South American military, and others — Turkey) at the cost of two billion dollars. Later it became clear that the U.S. Congress approved the sale of Chinook helicopters in Turkey, but the conclusion of the agreement have not been reported.

Meanwhile, in 2011 the Ministry of Defence of Turkey located in the U.S. purchase order 6 transport helicopter CH-47F. Amount of the transaction was valued at 300 million dollars. In August of the same year the Turkish military establishment and South American aircraft manufacturing concern Boeing signed a contract for the supply of six Chinook totaling 400 million dollars. It was reported that the supply of machines scheduled to begin in 2013.

In turn, the UAE Ministry of Defence situated an order to supply 16 helicopters Chinook in 2009. The price of this contract was estimated at two billion dollars. In January 2012 it became clear that Boeing received by bands DSCA contract to supply the United Arab Emirates 14 transport helicopter CH-47F. Transfer of the first machines to the customer under this agreement was initially planned for 2014.
