 According to the press service of the TsAGI, in mid-September of this year, the delegation of experts from the Institute took part in the final conference of the project SADE (SmArt High Lift DEvices for Next Generation Wing) of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union (EU), and to report the results of their work. Conference held in the capital of Bavaria, Germany — Munich.

In early October, the project partners from DLR and EADS were given the results of the test tube for a detailed analysis of the characteristics of adaptive designs that will be the final stage of participation in the project TSAGI SADE.

 

This year (August-September) TsAGI specialists conducted tests in the flow of the wind tunnel T-101 is a large-scale demonstrator — compartment model with a wing slat adaptive design. During the tests were obtained experimental data for a comprehensive study of the characteristics of aeroelastic slat, namely the distribution of pressure, elastic deformation and displacement of structural elements in the slat stream.

The official date of completion of the project SADE is October 31, 2012 During the four years of joint work TsAGI scientists and leading European research organizations have managed to create the preconditions for improving excellence and competitiveness perspective of aircraft.

SADE The program is funded by the European Commission under the 7th European Framework Programme (FP7) research and technological development of the European Union for the 2007 — 2013 gg.7RP — one of the world's largest research funding program worth 53 billion €. The program is funded by the FP7 of the general budget of the European Union. TsAGI is the leader of the 4th work package of the project SADE.
