BAE SYSTEMS RECEIVES FROM INDIA purchase orders 20 additional aircraft HAWK
Company BAE Systems has received a request from India for the purchase of devices and equipment 20 training aircraft Hawk (AJT) to build a factory Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
 
Aircraft that will be collected at HAL in Bangalore, will be transferred to the Indian Air Force aerobatic group.
 
In the event that the deal it will be the third contract for the supply of devices in this country and aircraft equipment for the Hawk Mk132 directly signed the 2004 purchase of 66 aircraft, including the delivery of 24 aircraft off the shelf and 42 aircraft for the licensed assembly at HAL, and an order for 57 aircraft in 2010.
 
Air India — the largest operator of the aircraft Hawk, which has sold more than 1,000 units. Other buyers Hawk aircraft are Australia, Canada, South Africa, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and England. In aerobatic team of the Royal Air Force Red Arrows Hawk aircraft used England since 1979.
