«F-35A will be used as a strategic tool to obtain advantages over the enemy and defeating him is first military action, to protect against possible provocations» — said in a press release.
The delivery of these aircraft with the technology «stealth» will begin in 2018, for 4 years, all 40 cars to be transferred RK. The deal amounted to 8.3 trillion won (7.2 billion dollars). CSC does not exclude the possibility of additional purchase another 20 fighters. Due to the fact that the purchase of these fighters carried out under the U.S. military programs from foreign aid (Foreign Military Sales), the contract will be concluded directly with the U.S. government, and not on the tender. Earlier this year, Kazakhstan held a competition for the supply of 60 fighters of the last generation, but could not find a favorite. Fighters production «Lockheed Martin» did not come as a very expensive, and the fighter F-15 «Silent Eagle» of «Boeing», who led in the tender was eventually found not to meet the military needs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
