Known for functionality and stocking the worlds most desirable appliances and fittings, German brand Hafeles new state-of-the-art experience centre in Okhla, New Delhi, is already the talk of the town. Spread across a sprawling 7,000 sq ft area, Hafele houses a comprehensive range of products by luxury brands across globe. «We entered India in 2001, with a liaison to handle hospitality projects for our line of Access Control Systems. The company noticed the growing hardware demand and of course architectural maturity. That’s when, in 2003, that we decided to start full commercial operation in India.

The experience centre doesn’t leave any stone unturned in providing patrons complete knowledge about the brand and its services. Near the reception is a cosy nook that details the history of Hafele in India as well as other verticals. A few steps ahead is where the brand stocks handles and knobs for wardrobes, doors and furniture. From your kitchen to living to bathroom and office areas, Hafele has multiple designs for every range. And don’t miss their dual function knobs for your li’l ones!

The unique add-on is the next zone, which has a live kitchen. «The studio is specifically designed to touch, feel and experience the world’s latest innovation and functionality. This was our idea for the live kitchen as well,» states Juergen. The live kitchen boasts of premium and super-premium appliances and fittings that are the epitome of luxury. And yes, here you can actually ‘experience’ everything!

Move on to the next space where functionality meets style in sanitary and hoods. Hafele provides sinks and faucets in different styles and material that are best suited for Indian homes. It also has a range of black, white, glass, steel and printed hoods to choose from. And that’s not all! You will fall in love with the lighting area. From desk to shelves, kitchen to bathroom and floating to free standing lights, the range is just incredible. And the plus point is that these lights are 100% LED and will reduce your electricity bills. Apart from high-end individual customers, the studio is also attracting a lot of builders, designers and manufacturers.

Although its too early to share the number of foot falls, Juergen still mentions that the number is increasing day by day. «Apart from just media initiatives and our other marketing efforts, word of mouth has played a vital role on the popularity of this experience centre. Most of the customers are referred by their friends who are Hafeles ex-customers,» he smiles.

and guide them with every minute detail related to the product. We want to be a trusted brand; a brand which sells honest products at honest prices,» he states. Hafele stocks 8,500 varieties of products which include fittings, appliances, lighting fixtures, sinks and faucets. The different brands available at the experience centres are Caesar stone, Liebherr, Bertazzoni, Blum, Victorinox, Blanco, Armando Vicario, Asko, Falmec, Argento, Slido, Ambient Lighting, Webert, Edelbad, Boing and Dialoc.

Now that the new experience centre is set to receive a fantastic response from patrons in the capital, what’s the next step? «Well, I think it’s time to see progress rather than just opening more state-of-the-art design centres. We have rented a new place in Kolkata which will be in operation soon. Apart from that, we are also planing to open more Hafele franchise shops to increase our market penetration,» answers Juergen.

According to him, the brand is for people who want to experience their dream kitchen. With designers and furniture partners on board, the brand is well-established as the complete interior fitting supplier. As Juergen says, «If you are building or re-doing your house, we are the one-stop shop for all your interior fittings solutions.» There’s no denying that now, is there!
