KEEPING BEES SHOULD APPEAL TO WATCH COLLECTORS AS THE WINGED WORKFORCE FOLLOWS AN AMAZINGLY ACCURATE TIME SCHEDULE ACROSS THE SEASONS. THIS YEAR IS A VERY GOOD TIME TO GET INVOLVED IN APIARY.

As winter turns to spring, beekeepers begin to swarm. Apiary associations up and down the UK hold training sessions at which old hands reveal to newcomers the secrets of keeping apis mellifora, the highly productive European or Western honey bee.

If you have ever thought about having a hive or two, now is the season to get involved. Taking its lead from the bees’ well-organised social order, The British Beekeepers Association has a network linking its 20,000-plus members. With a passion that rivals the watch aficionados of the CW Forum, the beekeeping community is keen to spread the word about

The dark side of Google Glass

The latest invention of Google — augmented reality glasses, known simply as the Glass, — has not even gone on sale, but, apart from the interest excited by the opportunity to look into the future, they cause a hot controversy. Darkness on the edge of town

Born a generation later, fueled by underground movements both ends of the musical spectrum, Clutch — it is the faithful, whose sound attracts a legion of fans from around the world. We went to Motown to unravel the mysteries of the cult rock band.

The expansion of the once-living organism there is a stage when the skeleton has become so clean that sparkling white distracts from everything that he ever was, or pretended to. For big cities it is also true.

If ever there was, and the «American dream», then Detroit, also known as Motor City, home of Motown —

KAWASAKI ZX-14R

Unfortunately for me, Kawasaki recently noticed a rather conspicuous absence from its press feet, and has asked for the ZX-14R back. This bike has been a riot on a daily basis and has consistently delivered, regardless of what I’ve asked it to do. Our time together hasn’t ended on bad terms, nor have I had my fill of the ’14, either. In fact, I’ve already started shopping for softly crashed examples in hopes of purchasing one for a more significant project. It’s not surprising that there are few to choose from. This isn’t a bike folks tend to flip—not literally,

Tatiana Dronina: NATURE OF MOMENTUM

We met in the theater, for Tatiana Doronina Gorky Moscow Art Theater is not just a place of work, and a second home. and maybe even the first. After all, she created the theater, almost three decades, holds it in his hands as the artistic director, jealously preserving the Russian classical tradition, and, in addition, put on plays as a director and comes on stage as an actress, for starters, how hospitable mistress of his house, Doronin told about his office, where she spends the lion’s share of time. Here, all-time favorite. Photo by Mikhail Bulgakov, near Bulgakov images of

TV antennas.

Indoor television antennas work in conditions drastically different from the operating conditions of the external antenna.

It is caused by the structure of the electromagnetic field VHF indoors. There is a field typically has a clear interference in nature, being a field of standing waves, which can be explained by the presence of reflections from the walls and various objects in the room. The intensity of the electromagnetic field in a room can dramatically change when you move to 1-1.5 m. For the various frequency components of a television signal distribution spehtra maxima and minima of the electromagnetic field may

SWAP SAND FOR THE OTHER WHITE STUFF AND SNUGGLE UP ON A COLD-WEATHER HONEYMOON

LE PORTETTA, FRANCE

Conversations about luxury ski hotels normally include the question, ‘but how far are we from the slopes?’ In this case, the answer is about three steps from the bar. So far, so fabulous. All the boxes are ticked off at Le Portetta: a cosy bar with roaring log fires; a ski room with staff who do everything even warming your boots and getting them on and off you when you cant be bothered. And — if you stay in a loft room —

JUST LIKE RINGING A BELL: CHUCK BERRYS SOUND AND STYLE

Chuck Berry recorded his classic Chess sides on ablonde-finish Gibson ES-350 with P90s. At the end of the ’50s, the guitar reappeared with a new set of PAFs, having been sent back to the factory for an upgrade. This was used through the early ’60s, but in 1966 Berry put aside his jazz guitar and moved to a cherry Gibson ES-345. By the ’70s, he was commonly seen with an ES-355. His move from the ES-350 to thinline semi-acoustics did much for their popularity.

Berry’s guitar style is a bedrock of rock’n’roll. His licks weren’t without precedent – he took

As Finns taught Europe to receive mutual pleasure of communicating with wildlife.

I talked a lot about Alaska, about how it is designed for the business vision of the bears, but it turned out — no need to fly around the planet in order to marvel at the Bruins. At 750 kilometers from St. Petersburg, exactly at the Finnish-Russian border, enterprising Finns ply unprecedented thing in these places — photo safari on large carnivores: bears, wolves, wolverines.

Creative problems of industrial architecture TODAY

I. NIKOLAEP.

Doctor of Architecture, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Architecture

The continuous growth of material and cultural needs of the Soviet people makes all areas of architecture every year more and more demanding.

Before the industrial construction in the Soviet Union since the early days of Soviet power were set the task, it is fundamentally different from the objectives pursued by capitalist enterprises.

The very nature of capitalism, which exists only at the expense of surplus value, objectively pushes the owner of the plant as much as possible to reduce the wages of the worker, and the
